Friends Of Bright Futures (FBFS)

Friends of Bright Futures School is a local charity dedicated to supporting the exceptional work of Bright Futures School in Saddleworth—a specialist independent school for children with autism spectrum conditions and related communication differences.

Founded by a passionate group of parents, professionals, and community members, our charity exists to ensure the school can continue delivering its pioneering approach to autism education. Bright Futures School doesn’t follow a one-size-fits-all model—instead, it uses a unique, relationship-based developmental approach that helps pupils build trust, emotional resilience, communication skills, and independence at their own pace.

We believe that every child deserves the right support to flourish—not just academically, but socially and emotionally.

Local Support

One of the key individuals who helped bring that vision to life was Robert Scott, whose support and generosity were instrumental in the physical build of the school. Robert’s involvement went beyond financial help—his belief in the mission and his commitment to the community played a vital role in turning ideas and architectural plans into a real, working school.
